Andrea - a.k.a. Gotham Atelier - came to metal work and jewelry design by chance with the retrospective understanding that the stage was set from childhood, sitting with her grandmother as she went through her jewelry box, and saving up her allowance to buy specimens at rock and mineral shows.

Asking "what do you want to be?" she embraces elements of improvisation and honors the intrinsic properties of the materials she works with.

These qualities, along with attention to compositional balance and careful construction, result in the distinct aesthetic of Gotham Atelier.
